Welcome to Feed ATX

We are so glad you’re here! Every resource is valuable — no matter how small. Please read this guide carefully to maximize the forum’s ability to support our neighbors in accessing food while also protecting everyone’s health and safety.

This forum seeks to serve:

Organizations or businesses serving anyone who relies on food pantries, soup kitchens, school lunch programs, or other direct assistance to feed themselves and their families.

  • Organizations or businesses serving anyone who qualifies for WIC/SNAP or other food assistance and cannot shop at or find food they need at grocery stores.

  • Organizations or businesses serving anyone who is a member of a vulnerable population during COVID-19 (people experiencing homelessness, elderly, disabled, immunocompromised, etc.)

  • Organizations or businesses serving anyone who cannot afford to buy essential sustenance.

If you are an individual looking for emergency food assistance or a business owner wanting to make food donations, refer to the Food Resource List for more information.

How to use it:

For those offering and seeking support, please enter your posts in the following categories:

  • FOOD

These offers and requests can come from anyone — individuals, food entrepreneurs, tech, and other sectors and industries. Everyone can use this tool in both directions to help ensure our neighbors have food to eat.

Be specific in adding tags to your posts since tags will help others find your post. Examples are shown within the sample posts in each category as well as these suggested tags:

  • Elderly
  • Disabled
  • Immunocompromised
  • Other medically fragile
  • Supplemental nutrition
  • Food pantry
  • Soup kitchen
  • School lunch
  • Other direct food assistance

Mark urgent requests with the urgent tag, so they can be sorted easily based on priority. If you have an ongoing need or resource, use the ongoing tag. If you have a one-time request that is completed through the forum, please edit or mark your post as “ complete ” or otherwise indicate that the need has been met.
